Principles
- Closed facts: the model only uses what you give it.
- Explicit format: define length, structure and tone.
- No unverifiable claims: ban superlatives and certifications unless documented.
- One keyword, used naturally.
Template 1: Product description
You are writing a product description for an online store.
Use ONLY the facts below. If a fact is missing, do not guess; skip it.
Facts:
- Product: {name}
- Material: {material}
- Dimensions: {dimensions}
- Features: {features}
- Intended use: {use}
Target keyword (use once, naturally): {keyword}
Format: 1 short opening paragraph (2-3 sentences), then 4-5 bullet points.
Tone: {tone}. Avoid: "best", "perfect", "guaranteed", health or safety claims.
Template 2: SEO title and meta description
Write one product page title (max about 60 characters) and one meta description
(max about 155 characters) from the facts below. Include the keyword once.
Do not add facts that are not listed. Return both on separate lines.
Template 3: Marketplace bullets
Write 5 bullet points. Each begins with a 2-4 word benefit label, then one
sentence using only the facts provided. No promotional claims, no emoji.
Before publishing to Amazon, run the output through our compliance checklist.
QA checklist
- Every number, material and compatibility claim matches the source
- No unsupported certifications or medical/safety statements
- Keyword appears naturally, not repeated
- Length fits the platform’s current limits
- The opening is not identical to other products in the batch

FAQ
Which AI model is best for product descriptions?
It depends on your catalog and budget, and models change often. Test a pilot of about 10 products with the tool you already have and compare outputs to your source facts.
How do I stop AI from inventing specs?
Supply a closed fact list, instruct the model to use only those facts and to write 'not provided' for missing fields, then verify each output against the source.
Should one prompt cover every product category?
Usually no. Per-category templates (apparel, electronics, home goods) work better because the important attributes differ.
Do these prompts work for Amazon?
They are a starting point, but Amazon has its own title and content rules that change. Check the current Seller Central style guide for your category.
